Pastor Misha - Ukraine

This faith story was shared with us by Pastor Misha who is a long-time ministry partner in the city of Lviv, Ukraine:

“They say the apostle Peter holds the keys to heaven. But in my hands are the keys to another place—the keys to the cells of life imprisonment, where the most dangerous criminals are kept.

No one has ever walked free from here. Yet even in this place, in this prison, a road remains for a person—the road to the Heavenly Jerusalem. It begins with sincere repentance.

One man, known as “Bogdan the Cannibal,” had spent many years in solitary confinement. At some point during these years, the Lord touched his heart. He sincerely repented of his crimes, and today is preparing to enter into a covenant with the Lord through water baptism and will join the prison church.

Even behind the thickest bars, God’s grace finds a person:
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost” (Luke 19:10).

I have been involved in prison ministry for many years and I have had the privilege of witnessing God transform even the most broken of lives. Praise be to His holy name!”
